The Story
Originally created by the owners of Hanging Gardens of Bali as a private residence, the Hidden Palace is a luxury 2,000 sqm villa residence and compound with private and luxurious accommodation set in Bali's jungle paradise.
This stunning Bali villa is completely submerged within the jungle forest, in a hidden location that was only known to the builders and a select few with only one entrance – also hidden.
The entire compound is a “Secret Paradise”, and one that you now have an opportunity to discover.
The Concept
The Hidden Palace is set in a dramatic, exotic and lush rainforest, resting above the flowing Ayung river, which creates an illusion of floating in magical waves of ultra-green jungle. The Hidden Palace is designed to provide an all-encompassing experience comprising of raw nature, traditional surroundings and refined living. The unique private compound is built and designed in an authentic Balinese style, set in a location that takes full advantage of the play between sheltered indoor living during the evening and night time, to completely al fresco living during the day.
The full-length pool 25x6m was constructed using natural Javanese capper stones in a manner that represents the “Floating Palace Regency” of East Bali, where the king held court sitting in a traditional Bale in the middle of a pool, giving audience to his subjects. Adjacent to the pool are 2 cave-like day-beds. The volcanic pebble stone surroundings are 7 tones selected out of the 25 tones of volcanic pebble stone brought over from north Bali.
Situated just above the residence’s compound is a herb and vegetable garden boasting its own cooking class Bale. Additionally, there is a secluded yoga bale, located in the valley just below the Hidden Palace.
Arrival to the Hidden Palace is through a separate private entrance, using a monorail from the lobby of resort, making it completely private. There are 4 separate entrances from the compound back into the Hanging Gardens of Bali.
Luxurious Collection of 5 Royal Villas
The Hidden Palace at the Hanging Gardens of Bali is a 2,000 sqm luxurious residence set in a jungle paradise, presented by the collection of Suites.
The uniqueness of the Hidden Palace is that each one of the 5 royal suites is its own villa, built and designed in an authentic Balinese style.

The Lounge
The residence features an expansive al fresco dining verandah and living areas where guests can take their breakfast and enjoy exclusive gourmet meals prepared by the residence’s in-villa chef, or just kick back and relax. The lounge is designed with Traditional elements in mind, handcrafted furniture and a collection of TASCHEN books and international magazines. There is a fully stocked and manned cocktail bar where residents can enjoy evening cocktails and canapés before dinner. This area features a stunning view of the surrounding jungle.
